Week 14 of Women's Professional Soccer saw FC Gold Pride continue to pull away from the pack while Boston and Atlanta also earned wins. Check it all out below (plus - a picture of Hope Solo!).

Saturday, July 17th
FC Gold Pride vs. Philadelphia Independence
FC Gold Pride win 2-0
Christine Sinclair netted two goals to lift the Pride over second place Philly.

Gold Pride now hold a double digit lead (10 points) in the WPS standings.
Philly's defensive tactic of double and triple teaming Marta left Sinclair open to score.
FC Gold Pride once again played without Barnhart, Buehler, Boxx, and O'Hara. Philly was without Amy Rodriguez, Lori
Lindsey, and Heather Mitts.
Pride 'keeper Brittany Cameron recorded her first WPS shutout.

Sunday, July 18th
Boston Breakers vs. Washington Freedom
Boston win 2-1.
DC started the scoring with a goal from Nikki Marshall in the third minute.
Boston answered back in the first half with a goal from Liz Bogus to equalize.
Jordan Angeli scored the game winner for the Breakers in the 75th minute.
Third straight win for Boston who had previously struggled this season.
Several "star" players for both sides sat out or came in as subs since they played in yesterday's U.S. Women's National Team game against Sweden (a 3-0 win for the U.S. by the way).

Sky Blue FC vs. Atlanta Beat
Atlanta win 1-0.
Eniola Eluko scored for Atlanta in the seventh minute.
Hope Solo and Atlanta's defense were able to hold on to earn the clean sheet against Sky Blue.

Week 15 Preview
- The Pride begin a three game away trip in Boston on Wednesday, July 21st against the streaking Breakers. Game time @ 4 p.m. PDT.
- Chicago Red Stars are back after a bye with a a trip to Atlanta on Wednesday, July 21st. Game time @ 4:30 p.m. PDT.
- Philadelphia returns to full force against Sky Blue FC on Saturday, July 24th @ 4 p.m. PDT.
- The Pride then travel to Washington D.C. to take on a failing Freedom on Saturday, July 24th @ 4 p.m. PDT.
- Boston Breakers travel to Chicago to face off against the Red Stars on Sunday, July 25th @ 1 p.m. PDT.
